THE BENEFITS OF HAVING HOME VISITS FROM OUR AUXILIARY NURSING TEAM

auxiliary nursing home visits

Having access to home visits from our auxiliary nursing team is just one of the major benefits of being a part of the Helicopteros Sanitarios family. But what makes home visits so important and why are they something you should think about when looking into your own medical cover? Here are some of the major benefits that come with at home access to auxiliary nursing:

1. Supporting your recovery

Whether you've undergone extensive surgery or suffered from a heart attack or stroke, heading home and leaving the hospital can seem daunting. You may worry that once you're home, your medical support will drop off and you'll be left to look after yourself - which could be a struggle. As part of our auxiliary nursing service patients who have suffered a stroke, heart attack or who have undergone extensive surgeries may be entitled to home visits from our auxiliary nursing services. Your doctors and nurses will work with you to create a detailed care plan, outlining the health and social support you need after you leave the hospital. Your care plan should include details of:
- what treatment and support you will receive as part of our home service
- who will be responsible for providing this support and how you can contact them
- when and how often you will be provided with this support
- who your emergency contact will be.
Your recovery is extremely important to us and we want to make sure you're supported at every step of the way. Our auxiliary nursing team will often carry out home visits as part of your care plan to check on your recovery and assist you with any tasks you may be struggling with.

2. Getting to you when you can't get to us

For some patients, getting to see a medical professional at a local centre or hospital can be tricky. Some may be too old to travel distances or simply have no means of reaching a centre. Others may be too sick to travel and require a visit to their home. This makes routine appointments such as injections, vaccinations, initial diagnosis, post-operative procedures and checking of blood pressure or blood sugar levels can be tricky. Thankfully, these are all services that can be carried out by our auxiliary nursing team on their home visits. There's nothing more important than your health, and with home visits, you can make sure you stay on top of your health management, identifying any issues before they develop into serious problems.

3. A friendly team

All the nurses on our auxiliary nursing team are extremely friendly and highly trained so you know you'll receive top quality, personalised and friendly care from nurses who truly want to help you get better and manage your health.
